Internet Security Suite

Internet Security Suite is another rogue security program which was found out to be a member of a large group of malicious application currently propagated via the Internet by means of a Trojan. Internet Security Suite virus will be dropped on computers even without users approval. A Trojan mentioned is able to penetrate a PC by looking for software vulnerabilities which it will manipulate to be able to gain access on victims computer. It states that computer is having problems with presence of Trojan, virus and spyware. One common alert it will display is system alert.

Filter

In computer programming, a filter is a program or section of code that is designed to examine each input or output request for certain qualifying criteria and then process or forward it accordingly. filter is "pass-through" code that takes input data, makes some specific decision about it and possible transformation of it, and passes it on to another program in a kind of pipeline. Usually, a filter does no input/output operation on its own. Filters are sometimes used to remove or insert headers or control characters in data.

Plug-in

In computing, a plug-in (or plugin) is a set of software components that adds specific abilities to a larger software application. If supported, plug-ins enable customizing the functionality of an application. For example, plug-ins are commonly used in web browsers to play video, scan for viruses, and display new file types. Well-known plug-ins examples include Adobe Flash Player and QuickTime. Add-on is often considered the general term comprising snap-ins, plug-ins, extensions, and themes.

FTP

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard network protocol used to copy a file from one host to another over a TCP-based network, such as the Internet. FTP is built on a client-server architecture and utilizes separate control and data connections between the client and server. FTP users may authenticate themselves using a clear-text sign-in protocol but can connect anonymously if the server is configured to allow it. FTP is most commonly used to download a file from a server using the Internet or to upload a file to a server (e.g., uploading a Web page file to a server).

Wikis

Wiki is a piece of server software that allows users to freely create and edit Web page content using any Web browser. Wiki supports hyperlinks and has a simple text syntax for creating new pages and crosslinks between internal pages on the fly. Wiki is unusual among group communication mechanisms in that it allows the organization of contributions to be edited in addition to the content itself. Allowing everyday users to create and edit any page in a Web site is exciting in that it encourages democratic use of the Web and promotes content composition by nontechnical users.

Blogs

Blogs are usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. Blog can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog. others function as more personal online diaries A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability of readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs.

Applets

An applet is a program written in the Java programming language that can be included in an HTML page, much in the same way an image is included in a page. When you use a Java technology-enabled browser to view a page that contains an applet, the applet's code is transferred to your system and executed by the browser's Java Virtual Machine (JVM). For information and examples on how to include an applet in an HTML page, refer to this description of the <APPLET> tag.

Javascript

Javascript is the Netscape-developed object scripting language used in millions of web pages and server applications worldwide. Netscape's JavaScript is a superset of the ECMA-262 Edition 3 (ECMAScript) standard scripting language, with only mild differences from the published standard. JavaScript's dynamic capabilities include runtime object construction, variable parameter lists, function variables, dynamic script creation (via eval), object introspection (via for ... in), and source code recovery (JavaScript programs can decompile function bodies back into their source text).

HTML

HTML, which stands for HyperText Markup Language, is the predominant markup language for web pages. HTML is the basic building-blocks of webpages. HTML elements form the building blocks of all websites. HTML allows images and objects to be embedded and can be used to create interactive forms. It provides a means to create structured documents by denoting structural semantics for text such as headings, paragraphs, lists, links, quotes and other items. It can embed scripts in languages such as Java Script which affect the behavior of HTML webpages.

URL

In computing, a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) is a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) that specifies where an identified resource is available and the mechanism for retrieving it. The use of the URLs is for the addresses of web pages on the World Wide Web(WWW).  A URL is a URI that, "in addition to identifying a source, provides a means of locating the resource by describing its primary access mechanism (e.g., its network location)". it specifies the IP address or the domain name where the resource is located.

Programmer

A computer programmer programs computers. They write, test and maintain the sofware and program that instruct the computer. Generally, there are five basic stages of development that a computer programmer addresses in designing software. They are defining the need, designing a flowchart, coding the software, debugging and beta testing. A computer programmer writes and develops computer programs to accomplish certain tasks, to store data or documents, and locate and get back that data or those documents. They are always working with programs and software to determine how the computer can perform better and more efficiently.

System Analyst

A systems analyst is responsible for researching, planning, coordinating and recommending software and system choices. They may be responsible for developing cost analysis, design considerations, and implementation time-lines. The systems analyst must be able to work with various programming languages, operating systems, and computer hardware platforms. Analysts experiment with different computer system plans. They try various tools and steps until they find the system that is fastest, easiest, and costs the least. The main job for some systems analysts is getting computers to work together. They connect them into a network. Analysts decide how to get information from one computer to another. Many help people get data from the Internet.

Database Administrator

Database administrator work with database software to find ways to do data. Data must be stored, organized and managed. They must be able to concentrate and pay close attention to detail is important. They also must be able to communicate with computer personnel, such as programmers and managers. They must also communicate with other staff who may have no computer training. Normally their job is like identify user needs, set up computer databases, and test systems. Database administrators often plan security measures. Data integrity, backup, and security are critical parts of the job.

A network administrator is a person responsible for the maintenance of computer hardware and software that makes a computer networks. They also involved design and installation. Network Administrator must be able to monitor the system's performance and maintain hardwares. They have some common duties, such as ensure security of the system, troubleshoot problems, install, maintain and upgrade personal computers. Network adminitrators are the key staff in any type of office set up that uses hundreds of computers. What does a network administrator do is that he ensures the computers wired in a network function smoothly, without any disruption in their performance.

Software Engineer

A software engineer solve problems. Some good software companies like Microsoft or Google look for software engineer in testing positions. He takes the requirement of the software from the customer, analyzes it, designs the software layout and does programming and then tests the software. At the end installs the software for the customer. Generally a software engineer works on different phases. Some only design, some only write codes, some only test the software, and some only assure quality. Some software engineers who work for a consulting business will travel to visit customers, sometimes internationally.
